Eligibility Requirements: Junior class status and a 3.0 GPA minimum.
Recommended Application Time: Spring of a student's Junior year, as the first 3 MSW courses are taken during the Senior year (last year as an undergraduate student)
Students can double count up to 9 credit hours of graduate-level courses toward the 124 credits required for undergraduate degrees. Six of these credit hours may replace two 300 or 400-level PSS/PSY classes; 3 credits would count as general elective credits. In order for the MSW classes to count toward the Psychology undergraduate degree (major or elective), .
*In addition to PSY 410, students must take two 300-level or higher courses and one 400-level course within a single area of focus; one course may overlap with the breadth area requirement.
If completing the individual area of focus, a Social Work graduate-level course (500 to 700 level) may be substituted for PSY 343 or PSY 345 (whichever PSY course is least related to student interest).
A second Social Work graduate-level course (500 to 700 level) may be substituted for another 300-level or 400-level course (excludes area of focus courses and PSY 410).
