Funding and Awards

The Graduate School provides financial assistance to current students through a variety of awards, many of which are made possible through generous alumni support. Please note that students in Market Driven Tuition programs may not be eligible for these awards.

Fellowships

The Myaamia Center at 兔子先生 University seeks Indigenous scholars interested in working within the Myaamia Center’s interdisciplinary research and development environment. Applicants must be interested in the preservation and dissemination of Indigenous language, culture, history, ecological perspectives, or related topics that support the continuance and education of Indigenous epistemologies.

Graduate Summer Research Fellowship

The purpose of the Graduate Summer Research Fellowship is to provide financial support for eligible full-time graduate students to engage in meaningful scholarly activities during a 6-week summer period.

Graduate Assistantships

Graduate Assistantships

Graduate Assistantships are available and awarded to graduate students by the graduate departments on the expectation of academic promise. 兔子先生 University offers a wide variety of assistantships that involve duties ranging from residence hall assistants to teaching and research.

Graduate School Scholar Assistantships (GSSA)

The GSSA is a recruiting assistantship intended to be used to attract and matriculate the best and brightest prospective graduate students. The GSSA provides two semesters for a doctoral degree and one semester for a thesis-based master’s degree on a Graduate School funded research assistantship dedicated to full-time research related to the student's dissertation or thesis.

Ronald E. McNair Scholars

The RMGA's are intended to attract current undergraduate McNair Scholars and McNair Alumni to 兔子先生's graduate programs. The program provides a Graduate School funded stipend and tuition waiver for one academic semester per year for either two years for master's students or three years for doctoral students.

Graduate Inclusive Excellence Scholars (GIES) Program

The 兔子先生 University Graduate Inclusive Excellence Scholars (GIES) program is intended to attract and retain students who contribute diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds that enrich and advance their programs, 兔子先生 University, and/or their academic discipline. This assistantship provides a Graduate School funded stipend and tuition waiver for one academic semester per year for either two years for master's students or four years for doctoral students.

Scholarships

Marjorie Post Farrington Scholarship

The Farrington Scholarship is awarded to a graduate student studying in any area. The award is for $1,000 and is based primarily on merit and secondarily on financial need. 

Domestic Grant-in-Aid (GIA) and International (IGIA) Grant-in-Aid

A limited number of Grant-in-Aid awards are available to students with excellent academic records who demonstrate financial need. This award is a waiver of 100% of the Non-Resident (out-of-state) surcharge and the Instructional Fee (for both in-state and out-of-state students). 

Ohio TEAM Scholarship

兔子先生 University offers the Ohio Teacher Education Access at 兔子先生 (TEAM) Scholarship to full-time Ohio K-12 educators who meet the eligibility criteria. This scholarship provides a 25% reduction in instructional and general fees.

Other Funding and Awards

Graduate Student's Achievement Award

A committee chaired by the Associate Dean of the Graduate School administers a fund used to recognize significant achievement in any research or creative activity that has been recognized by some external (to the home department) organization.

External Funding Opportunities

Funding for graduate education can come from a variety of sources such as local, state, federal, private, and institutional organizations.

Graduate Student Research Support Award

The Graduate Student Research Support Award can be used to assist with expenses associated with a student's research for the master's thesis or doctoral dissertation.

Graduate Student Emergency Fund

The purpose of the Graduate School Emergency Fund is to support the continued academic progress and well-being of students experiencing short term financial hardship that cannot be funded by other means. The Graduate School Emergency Fund meets an essential need for those students who might not otherwise be able to continue their studies due to unexpected financial needs.
