The聽Howe Center for Writing Excellence聽is a team of聽faculty, staff, graduate students, and undergraduate students聽from a variety of disciplines聽who are committed to supporting the learning and teaching of writing at 兔子先生 University, and nationwide.聽 We rely on聽research- and evidence-based principles聽to support writing, and we recognize that collaborating and innovating with interdisciplinary stakeholders across the university is essential to helping 兔子先生 students learn to write.

WRITING-FOCUSED
The Howe Writing Center supports all 兔子先生 writers—students and faculty—with any writing they are doing and at any point in their process. Programming is run by HWC director, staff, Graduate Assistant Directors, and expertly trained undergraduate and graduate student writing consultants.
TEACHING-FOCUSED
The Howe Writing Across the Curriculum Program provides innovative support for teaching so that faculty and graduate teaching assistants can effectively include writing in their courses and programs.

All writers are learning, and with every word put to page we understand our writing process a little better. Witnessing other people’s writing processes through the Howe Center – as both a consultant and a consulted writer – helped me challenge my own way of doing things and adopt new writing practices.

Don't be afraid to make yourself uncomfortable, whether that be by trying a new writing process, writing in a new style or voice, exploring an unfamiliar idea, or letting other people read your work. The more you try, the more you'll learn about yourself as a writer. Everybody is a writer with different skill sets and levels of experience.
