Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities—Essential Functions
- Oversees operations of unit; sets priorities; ensures smooth work flow, coordinates various projects;enforces policies and procedures; ensures work product meets professional standards.
- Serves as informational resource to staff; investigates and resolves problems or difficulties; providing routine and non-routine information.
- Coordinate personnel communications to the university community. May maintain departmental website.
- Supervises staff, enforces policies and procedures; establishes schedules and assigns tasks; reviews and evaluates performance.
- Gathers and analyses statistical information regarding department's programs and activities; produces reports.
- Reviews monthly budget sheets, works with budget and accounting offices to reconcile discrepancies, recommends moving funding to cover expenses and reconciles departmental Master Card Account.
Reporting Relationships
Direction Received: Reports to upper level administrator (i.e. Sr. Director, Director, etc.)
Direction Given: Direct supervision of classified employees. May supervise student employees.
Minimum Requirements
Requires twenty-four months of experience or the equivalent of an associate's degree in Business Administration and three years experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to maintain confidential information required.

Working Conditions
Generally typical office environment. May have periodic assignments which entail dealing with modestly unpleasant conditions.
