As such, there are resources available for you if you are experiencing concerns such as anxiety, depression, relationship problems, substance abuse, or other mental health issues impacting your ability to learn. The Student Counseling Service (SCS) offers confidential mental health counseling for Oxford students, including same-day emergency services. Overall Considerations

The ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Counselor Education Program has an established site placement partnership with ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú’s Student Counseling Service (SCS). It is important to highlight that cohort members may be assigned to field experiences within SCS. Furthermore, if a student elects to utilize on-campus services, we are unable to guarantee complete confidentiality, as their entry and exit from the office may be observed by students who are on field experience. Additionally, we have set guidelines with SCS to ensure that cohort members do not service other cohort members, as this would create dual relationships.

Further Client Considerations

Students on a field placement at the ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú Student Counseling Service (SCS) are not eligible to receive counseling services. This consideration is essential when selecting counseling services as a field placement site. Alternate low-cost recommendations for counseling services are available upon request.

Former Client Considerations

Students who have used counseling services from ÍÃ×ÓÏÈÉú's Student Counseling Service (SCS) are not eligible for placement within SCS. This policy is in place to prevent dual relationships between counseling students and potential site supervisors, ensuring ethical practice is maintained.
